Dylan Speeg was born in Cincinnati and has lived there his entire life. He attended high school at The School for the Creative and Performing Arts and then The Art Academy of Cincinnati in the early 90s and has worked as a portrait painter and illustrator ever since. Working as an instructions illustrator for Proctor & Gamble right out of college helped him to learn to swallow his feelings. Doing political cartoons and illustrations newspapers, he formed a unique style. Appearing on television as a host and segment producer for Good Morning Tri-state on WCPO for 2 years helped him form a more worldly view. His spay paint stenciled illustrations for The CityBeat “Best Of Cincinnati” issue received the Best Illustrated Series Award from the Cleveland Press Club. Dylan likes to use the people he knows as subject matter. He works nights as a bartender and performs standup comedy on occasion. He is also a musician in the band Heavy Hinges.
